You'll be learning 10 creative gift wrapping ideas using Yuzen-shi, one of the most beautiful Japanese papers.

What is Yuzen-shi?

Yuzen-shi (paper)'s beautiful designs originally came from the textile industry in Kyoto, Japan. It was born in Edo period (1603-1868), a Japanese painter called Yuzensai Miyazaki created unique and colorful patterns and motifs inspired by the natural objects.

Yuzen's beautiful patterns are silkscreened by hand using the special paint. Each color is applied to the washi paper one by one and it often takes multiple times to go through this process to create a complete piece.

What others say about Shiho's lessons...

"What you do is very inspiring and I am so happy I got to find out about your courses. You gave me tools and ideas so I could do something that brings me joy, while working on the wrapping and also brings a lot of joy to everybody who receives a gift nicely wrapped.

It is very relaxing for me to gift wrap and I do it for my gifts and for the gifts of my friends too and they love it. It's a great hobby. The only bad thing is that people do not want to open their presents because they don't want to ruin the wrapping :-) Thank you!"

"Shiho’s passion for making the gifting experience a delight can certainly be seen in her beautiful, detailed work with gift wrapping. She truly is a master at her craft and is pure pleasure to learn from. She has a very calming presence that makes her videos so enjoyable to watch and is a fountain of creativity with all the tutorials she’s generously shared. I was fortunate enough to take one of her hands on workshops in NY which not only taught me new techniques but gave me new perspectives to build up my gift services business. She is an all around gem!"
